MEH continues support for Open Door Taunton through annual Christmas Appeal

As another festive season approaches, MEH continues their annual Christmas Appeal to support Open Door Taunton, a local charity, which helps the homeless community by providing shelter and amenities as well as tailored support plans for individuals.

Donations being delivered to Open Door Taunton

Through the generosity of the team we collected an abundance of essential items, including warm clothing, blankets, food and hygiene products to donate to the center as well as raising additional funds through the Christmas Raffle.

As a local, I am really pleased that the MEH Alliance has supported the Open Door charity in Taunton again this year. Winter is a tough time for anyone to face homelessness, but it’s particularly dangerous for people sleeping on the streets. Freezing temperatures, wet weather and dark nights have a severe impact on both physical and mental wellbeing, so being able to provide some much needed support in the local community is a great cause. – Sarah Silverwood, Senior Admin

‘This is the first Christmas Appeal I have been involved in at Hinkley Point C and people’s generosity has been truly heart warming. Feels great to be involved in such a worthy charity especially at this time of year.’ – Helen Flatt, Project Support

A heartfelt thank you everyone across Hinkley Point C who supported the appeal, our incredible volunteers and to Wilson James for assisting with the logistics of delivering all the donations to Open Door.
