Monika wins ECITB New Entrant of the Year award

Congratulations to Monika Czyz-Grzesik, Hinkley Support Operative (Silver Mechanical Labourer), for winning the New Entrant Award at the 2024 Engineering Construction Industry (ECI) Training and Development Awards that was held at One Marylebone on Tuesday 05 November.

Monika joined the MEH Alliance as a trade labourer on the Hinkley Point C project after completing the Hinkley Point C Bronze Programme. She was nominated for her commitment to safety, eagerness to learn, and consistently positive attitude. Monika is always willing to lend a hand and face challenges head-on, making her a valued team member.

The mother of twins, who works for MEH as a Mechanical Labourer, said “I was up against so many people from across the country, so I wasn’t expecting anything. It was a wonderful surprise to learn I was a finalist, and an absolute honour to receive the award. Winning this award has truly changed my perspective on my work and the Project, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.”
